The Career Connected Learning Toolkits are designed to support educators and program planners in creating meaningful career exploration and preparation experiences for students. These toolkits are filled with ample resources, including best practices, activity guides, and templates to help bring career-connected learning to life. Be sure to explore the links within the document to access valuable materials and examples that can enrich your planning and implementation efforts.
Select the toolkit that is most appropriate for your situation. The elementary toolkit supports learners in Kindergarten through 5th grade. The types of activities and resources are designed for that age group. The secondary toolkit covers 6th through 12th grade. This decision was deliberate due to the requirement for an Education Plan and Profiles to be started in 7th grade and continued through graduation. This toolkit will support that work as well. If you are working in a K-12 school setting you may want to consider using parts from each toolkit to develop your school-wide plan.
Section 4c is valuable because it shares information about multiple partners who can join you in this work. For CCL to be truly effective, partners external to the school have to be included. Please take the time to identify who in your community can assist with helping learners develop their full career potential.
